Faculty of Fright
Hollowmere Academy

A roguelike deck-builder: pick a teacher, climb three haunted wings of a castle school, and build a deck on the way. Every build, newest first. All three are playable and run straight from this folder.

  1. 3

Tougher teachers, battle poses, and attack animations

    • All three teachers redrawn with action-anime proportions (about six heads tall instead of three), sharp three-quarter faces, heavy brows, and cel shading
    • Each teacher is now a jointed puppet standing in a fighting crouch with fists forward, bouncing gently on bent knees between moves
    • Every card has its own move: Mr. Stephgarner throws flasks and fires lightning, Mr. Ras swings hammers, saws, and sledges and taps out Barricades, and Mrs. Ward throws peppers and hot sauce, swings the skillet and cleaver, and raises a pot lid to block
    • Thrown items fly to the target and the damage lands when they hit; slams send a shockwave across the floor; getting hit makes the teacher flinch, and a loss ends with a fall
    • Potions are drunk or thrown, and Mrs. Ward stirs when a Dish cooks

    Teachers renamed

    • Science is now Mr. Stephgarner, Wood Shop is Mr. Ras, and Culinary Arts is Mrs. Ward
    • Replaces the placeholder names Mr. Kepler, Mr. Ashby, and Ms. Saffron everywhere they appeared: character select, top bar, keyword tips, the recipe book, How to Play, and the Founder's greeting
    • Gameplay is unchanged from build 1, and a run saved in build 1 continues here

    • Three acts (the Great Hall, the Forbidden Library, the Belfry), each with its own enemies, two elites, and a boss that changes tactics at half health
    • 2D anime characters on a 3D castle-hall battlefield, a parchment map between fights, and cards fanned out in 3D
    • Runs save automatically on the map; press E to end a turn and 1–9 to play cards
